Halloween Candy ... Survival of the Fittest?

It's that time of the year again ... Halloween candy is starting to show up in my pantry, hidden, but for the truly determined, accessible. And today ... I'm becoming a banner-carrying Weight Watcher devotee ... again. At least until Halloween is over.

The Eat This Not That book series has had phenomenal success. My son pours over the pages at Grandma's house, delighting me with tidbits of useful information about how "good" some of his favorite food items are ... and, of course, how poor some of mine are.

So I started to wonder if there was actually a list of advised or ill advised Halloween candy. Thinking, of course, of that hidden bag every time I get a chocolate craving. To my delight ... I found one, written by David Zinczenko, author of the Eat This Not That series.

I will link the article, but in short. Not only is there a list of the 5 (five!) worst Halloween candies, there are also 10 Halloween survival tips. It makes me smile to think that we might actually need a "survival guide."
