Christmas is just around the corner ... and we were blessed with our first dusting of Christmas snow overnight. It's been a delightful day spent last-minute shopping and, of course, baking. I couldn't let a snow pass without Russian Teacakes coming out of the oven ... or shortbread ... or Peanut Blossoms. That's on the agenda for the rest of the day.

But more importantly, I wanted to let you know that Amazon is offering the updated e-book version of my novel, Home for Christmas, free all day on Saturday, December 21.

I'm counting down the days until Christmas ... my oven is in non-stop cookie baking mode and my fingers are a little sore from cutting paper and wrapping bows, as I'm sure yours are too, but I wouldn't have it any other way! I love this time of the year and am trying to soak up every last moment of this beautiful season. Thank you for the Christmas cards, reading them is my indulgent break from the hub bub.

As we ring in 2014, I'll be working on the last chapters of my latest novel, Treasures of the Heart, a prequel to Whispers of the Heart. I'm looking forward to the new year ... but cherishing every last minute of this one.
