It's finally arrived. The very first day of autumn. Officially, tonight at precisely 10:29 p.m., EDT for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. It's a happy day when one doesn't feel a bit odd for hanging the fall leaves wreath, displaying the pumpkins and acorns and all things russet and brown and golden, for wearing sweaters and drinking hot steaming drinks. Well ... the weather has a bit of catching up to do for those of us in the Pacific Northwest. While the leaves are definitely turning ... those longed for crisp fall days are yet ahead. But the best news of all... it is coming! And that, my friends, is the beginning of all things wonderful!
Happy 1st Day of Autumn.
One of my favorite poems is oft quoted, but I couldn't help share it once again for those who like me, relish every falling leaf.
